Boston Marathon bombings survivor throws first pitch at Fenway

(NECN) - Heather Abbott was waiting in line at the Forum restaurant when the bombs at the Boston Marathon went off.

The Newport, Rhode Island resident suffered severe injuries and had her left leg amputated below the knee.

She was released from the hospital yesterday, and today was given the chance to throw out the first pitch at Fenway Park.
