Two twins who were allegedly abused by their father in Maine are continuing to improve.

The infants were brought to a hospital with serious injuries due to apparent head trauma.

According to the twins' mother, the infants are recovering well.

Their father, Anthony Scarpinelli, is facing aggravated assault charges.

The infants were taken Southern Maine Health Care Emergency Department with serious injuries due to inflicted head trauma on May 2.
