Conn. police investigate homicide

A 44-year-old man was fatally shot late Saturday night in New Haven, Connecticut.

Officials received several 911 calls around 9:45 p.m. of gunfire at 465 Winthrop Ave. Police officers found Otis Powell outside the doorway of 'This Custom Design' print shop with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Powell was taken to Yale - New Haven Hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.

Information on a suspect is not available at this time. Anyone who may have witnessed the crime or may be able to help investigators is urged to call 203-946-6304.
