Winning Powerball ticket sold in Florida

(NECN) - The scramble to buy Powerball tickets was frantic late this week as the jackpot prize rose to a record $590 million.

But on Sunday, it was all for nothing unless you happen to live in Florida and bought the lone winning ticket that was sold there.

The one winning ticket was sold in a Publix Supermarket.

Two tickets, one sold in Connecticut and one sold in New Hampshire, matched five of the six numbers drawn last night, but did not match the Powerball number. Those tickets will win $1 million each.
