A truck driver has turned himself in after police say he hit and killed a pedestrian Thursday afternoon in Milford, Massachusetts.
Authorities confirm a woman, identified as 65-year-old Barbara Clement, was struck and killed by a truck. Police began looking for a blue Peterbuilt truck with red fenders and an East Genesis trailer after it left the scene of a crash around 4 p.m.
Just after 6 p.m., police confirmed that the truck had been located and that the driver had turned himself in.
necn's Aaron Perry was in the area and reports that there were numerous police and emergency vehicles on scene. A sealed off red-and-blue tent was also set up right in the middle of the roadway in the area of the accident.
Main Street was blocked at South Bow Street as a result of the crash. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.
