A New Hampshire man was fatally shot early Saturday morning near the Red Arrow Diner in Manchester.
Officials initially said they were investigating a suspicious death of a man in the area of 61 Lowell Street, the listed address for the popular diner.
According to Attorney General John Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg, officers responded to the area for a reported motor vehicle accident around 1:12 a.m. They were called back to the area less than an hour later, around 2:02 a.m., for a report of a shooting.
Responding officers found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to Elliott Hospital where he died from his injuries hours later. On Sunday, the attorney general's office identified the victim as Carlos Rodriguez, 42, of Manchester.

An autopsy determined Rodriguez died from multiple gunshot wounds and that his death was a homicide.
Officials say the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
No arrests have been announced. Investigators are continuing to look at the individuals involved, as well as the sequence of events from the motor vehicle accident leading up to the shooting. An investigation into Rodriguez's death is ongoing, including whether the person who fatally shot him acted in self-defense.
