(TV Diner) - Cuvee, self-described as 'food, wine and champagne room', can be found nestled in the charming Blue Back Square area of West Hartford.

The menu has something for everyone and offers a plethora of sushi, salads, small, medium and yes, large plates.

We started with the Winter Salad.  This refreshing plate mixed baby greens with glazed walnuts and a lovely tangy dressing.

Next up, was the Prosciutto and Asiago Crepe.  The crepe was light and airy with tangy asiago a nice balance to the salty meat.  Our one comment would be that rather than delicately sliced, the prosciutto was more roughly chopped which weighed this crepe down a bit.  Overall, a tasty choice however.

The Lobster Mac and Cheese was one of the best we've tried.  It was loaded with sharp, creamy cheese and plenty of chunks of tender lobster.  Perfect for sharing.  Or not.

The Cuvee Burger was melt in your mouth delish.  Served on an English muffin and topped with brie and caramelized onion, we loved the thick, juicy Kobe beef inside.

The Cheesecake was excellent. Simple, light and creamy, it was above par.

Service was excellent at Cuvee. Servers were friendly, knowledgeable and above all, fun!

We found the value to be excellent as the ambiance is very upscale with an extensive wine list and bottle service.  Ingredients were top notch with simple, elegant  presentations. Appetizers ranged from $7-$11, entrees from $7-$15 and desserts at $6..

Overall, we rate Cuvee the Gold Plate for a very good dining experience.  They are located at 37 Raymond Road in West Hartford, Connecticut and can be reached at 860-756-5590  or on the web at  Plenty of parking can be found in the lots in Blue Back and on the street.  Cuvee often has a dj or live  music, so come prepared to party.  Also, for an extra good time, ask for our favorite bartender, Justin!
