The scene here on Moncrief Road is still active Thursday morning as police and the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office investigate what led to a woman being fatally stabbed in her driveway.

Around 7:40 Wednesday night Rockland Police got a call about a woman being stabbed at 189 Moncrief Rd.

When police arrived they found a woman lying in the driveway suffering from an apparent stab wound.  Neighbors were trying to help her.  The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Patricia Langley.  Her husband, 56-year-old Richard Langley, was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with murder.

Langley will be arraigned Thursday in the Hingham District Court.
