(NECN: John Moroney, Boston) - Fathers and their children. All of them together on the field at Fenway Park -- creating new memories and recalling old ones -- some of which are not so pleasant.
The Red Sox annual Father's Day Walk in the Park gave dads a chance to spend the afternoon with their kids and show them Fenway, just as their fathers did all those years ago.
They walked around the warning track, stood beside the Green Monster and settled into the dugout for pictures. Peter Panagiotakopoulos sat with daughters and explained his march toward fatherhood started when he was married in 2004 -- the same year the Sox broke the curse.
Fenway Park is a place fathers and their children have been coming for generations. That's what make it special. One hundred years of memories for countless families.
