Snowden Asks Putin About Russian Snooping

In a televised question-and-answer session with Vladimir Putin, NSA leaker Edward Snowden asked the Russian president if the country keeps tabs on "the communications of millions of individuals," NBC News reported. "Mr. Snowden, you are a former agent, a spy. I used to work for the intelligence service. We are going to talk one professional language," Putin replied. He said that Russia does not carry out mass surveillance on its citizens, and intelligence efforts are "strictly regulated by law." Russia also doesn't have "as much money" as the U.S. or "these technical devices," he added.
