(NECN/NBC News: Frances Kuo) - The clock is ticking for the birth of Britain's royal baby, expected in July.

Anticipation is building for the royal birth in England, and now we have more details.
William and Kate do not know the gender of the baby, it was learned Wednesday, and William will be present at the birth.

And that birth will take place at the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, the same hospital Princess Diana went to when William was born.

The Lindo Wing has recently been refurbished with the latest maternity facilities.

And the birth will be announced simultaneously on Twitter and an old-fashioned way, written on a placard displayed on an easel inside the gates at Buckingham Palace, the same easel was used to announce William's birth in 1982.

The hospital will send a signed medical bulletin by car to Buckingham Palace.
Buckingham Palace will place the notice onto the easel. It will give the gender, the weight and possibly other details.

If the birth occurs between sunset and sunrise, media will get an email advising them of the birth but the placard will not be displayed until morning.

With the birth just a month away, every detail is being meticulously reviewed by the palace and by the media who will cover it.
