Two planes almost collide in skies of New York

(NECN: Eileen Curran) – Two planes that left from New York City came too close for comfort.

The incident happened last Thursday, and both planes landed safely, but there was scare the two would collide.

A plane was leaving from LaGuardia airport just as another was getting ready to land at JFK. The two planes came within 100 feet of each other.

The FAA isn’t saying much about the incident.
