BOSTON (AP) - State police spokesman David Procopio says authorities on Saturday recovered a body discovered floating in the Muddy River shortly after 9 a.m.
State police initially believed partial human remains were also found on Saturday at 10:40 a.m. in the Charles River; however, it was determined on Sunday morning that this was the rotting carcass of a small animal and not human remains.
Boston police are investigating the circumstances around the body discovered in the Muddy River.
