Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Dorchester

The victim is a man believed to be in his 20s, Boston police say

One person has died after being shot Saturday night in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Boston police responded around 8:10 p.m. to the area of 500 Blue Hill Avenue for reports of a shooting.

The victim, believed to be a man in his 20s, was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when police arrived. He was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries where he was later pronounced dead.

The victim has not been identified.

There’s no immediate word on a suspect, but the shooting is under investigation.
