Vt. man arrested in NH on home invasion charge

KEENE, N.H. (AP) — A man has been arrested in New Hampshire on an assault charge stemming from a home invasion in Vermont in May.

Twenty-nine-year-old Loren "Luda" Bedward of Brattleboro, Vt., was arrested in Keene on Friday.

He was wanted for on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. The home invasion happened May 28 in Hartford, Vt.

U.S. Marshals arrested Bedward with the help of agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Vermont State Police and the Cheshire County Sheriff's Department.

He is being held at the Cheshire County jail as a fugitive from justice while he awaits extradition to Vermont.
