Quincy, Mass. police officer charged with assaulting pregnant wife

(NECN) - A Quincy, Mass. Police Captain is facing aggravated assault and battery charges after an argument with his pregnant wife allegedly turned violent.

Police responded to her home in Plymouth, Mass. on Saturday, leading to Miller's arrest.

The couple is separated, and officials said that Miller's wife got a restraining order against him on Friday.

Miller is now on paid leave from the Quincy Police Department until the case is resolved.
