Longest-serving president of College of Holy Cross laid to rest

(NECN: Melissa Toupin) - The longest-serving president in the history of the College of the Holy Cross is being laid to rest.

Reverend John Brooks served as president of the catholic college from 1970 to 1994.
    
A funeral was held on Monday for Rev. Brooks at the campus’ St. Joseph Memorial chapel. He was buried in the Jesuit cemetery at the school.

Rev. Brooks died July 2 at the age of 88.
