Friend: Hot-Car Dad Was “Ferris Bueller of Tuscaloosa”

A friend of the Georgia father accused of leaving his toddler in a hot car to die says that Justin Ross Harris was a popular guy who liked being the center of attention, NBC News reported. However, Ben McRea said "I hope he gets what's coming to him" if he did it on purpose. McRea has been close friend of Harris, also 33, and was a groomsman at his wedding. They first bonded during a church trip to see the Atlanta Braves play. "He was just a great and outgoing personality. He was the Ferris Bueller of Tuscaloosa," McRea said. Harris is now charged with murder of his four-year-old son.
