(NECN) - Record-challenging temperatures are hitting the New England region, and it's not just humans that need to take caution to the hot weather.

Pet parents should be sure to keep a close eye on furry friends in the summer months.

From exercising rules to swimming guidelines, Dr. Jake Tedaldi shares some advice for owners.
