Keeping your pets cool in the heat wave

(NECN) – Summer temps are on the rise, as much of the country enters the fourth day of an extended heat wave.

While it’s important to stay cool, you can’t forget about you pets.

Dr. Kiko Bracker from the Angell Animal Medical Center joined Jackie Bruno with advice on how to care for your dogs.

Make sure to keep them in the shade and out of the sun for prolonged periods of time.

If your dog is overheating, cool them off immediately with water.
