NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - New Haven police have canceled an Amber Alert for an 11-month-old girl who witnesses say was forced into a car with her mother at knifepoint.
City police say the infant was found in Bridgeport on Monday with her father Rickardo Rhoden, who was accused of taking her and her mother, Sarah Burton.
He was arrested and was returned to New Haven. Police did not detail the charges against him.
The 26-year-old Burton was not with her child and Rhoden. Police say she has talked to her family by phone and is OK.
The alert was in effect for about an hour.
