(NECN: Kathryn Sotnik, Boston) - Kara Hennelly and Josh Baker of Newton, Mass. now call themselves Mom and Dad to two twin newborn baby boys, Finn and Declan. They were born on the same day the royal Kate and Will had their baby boy in England - potentially a future king.

Laughing about how the babies will share the same birthdate, Kara tells us they "joked" about their boys being born on the same day as the royal baby, but didn't think it would ever happen.

"It was kind of a nice distraction waiting to go back for the c-section to watch the excitement on the news and my family can't forget their birthday now, so," Kara said.

"We're obviously just super excited about these two little guys, I didn't know too much about the royal baby but happy he's very healthy," Josh said.

Word of the royal baby's birth spread fast Monday, making it a historic moment for the British monarchy. At high tea at the Langham hotel in Boston, guests learned the news and were overjoyed.

Back at Mass. General Hospital, Dr. Laura Riley, who delivered the healthy baby boys, says laughing, "I'm not that impressed by Kate. I'm much more impressed by my own patient who just had twins and they're huge kids, very impressive, and women are strong."
