7 Chinese nurses, administrators touring Nashville

Jul 29, 2011 4:00am

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Seven Chinese nurses are in Nashville touring hospitals and learning about health care technology.

The nurses and nurse administrators from China Medical University's Nursing Institute are wrapping up a two-day visit Friday.

It is an outgrowth of recent economic development trips to China and South America by former Gov. Phil Bredesen, Mayor Karl Dean and the Nashville Health Care Council.

The nurses will visit emergency departments at St. Thomas Hospital and Centennial Medical Center. Lipscomb University is host for their visit.
