Dozens Displaced After 3-Alarm Fire

Firefighters from 6 departments battled the flames in Westbrook, Maine


A three-alarm fire broke out at the Dolley Brook Condominiums on East Bridge Street in Westbrook, Maine, Wednesday night. Firefighters said they received a call for a kitchen fire around 8:15 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, there was heavy smoke and fire coming from the building that housed units nine through 15. Firefighters from six departments battled the flames.

The Red Cross is assisting the 45 people the fire displaced. Fire, water or smoke damage affected about 24 units. Fire officials said no one was hurt.
