(NECN: Ally Donnelly, Quincy, Mass.) - A Cohasset, Massachusetts mother and son are facing a judge. They are accused of hosting an underage drinking party at their home. Police say more than 20 teenagers attended.

The defense attorney calls the son in this case an honor roll student and the mother -- a breast cancer survivor.

The prosecutor is painting them as a family with problems.

50-year-old Elizabeth McQuade and her 18-year-old son, Taylor, were arrested Saturday night.

This is not the first time the judge has seen this family.

They were both released on personal recognizance, but ordered to undergo counseling -- among other things.

They are due back in court later this month.
