(NECN) - Between the recent credit downgrade and the stock market roller coaster, Wall Street has had quite a busy week. Investors close to home are keeping an eye on their interests, and the global economy is also keeping an eye on the country's financial situation.

So how has the recent mess changed the way others look at the U.S.? Economic Professor Sylvia Maxfield from Simmons College talks about the recent turmoil and its worldwide impact.
