(NECN) - In the last week and a half, Aly Raisman has gone from Massachusetts gymnast to international star!

The double gold medal winner and Needham native is still in London, but she’s taking time this Friday morning to join us on the ‘Morning Show’ by phone.

What are the emotions right now?

“It feels amazing. It still hasn’t sunk in fully but it’s really exciting. I’ve been looking at my medals a lot.... A lot of hard work and good memories behind them.”

Aly doesn’t know which gold came from which event.

“I forgot to mark them. It was so hectic after the last day of competition. I wish I could have marked it but that’s okay. I know which one is for beam obviously because it’s a different color,” Aly says. “I guess it’s a good problem to have.”

What are Aly’s plans when she returns to the US?

“I’m going to be home for about two weeks and then all of the girls and I, we are going to go on the Kellogg’s Tour of gymnastics for a couple of months, so we’re really excited about that. And then I definitely want to come back to gymnastics after that.”

What about the next Olympics?

“Yeah, that’s definitely in the back of my mind right now.”

How was it meeting other athletes, like Ryan Lochte?

“It was fun. We got to meet a lot of athletes here. The swimmers are all really nice. And it’s really cool to be in the Olympic village and just get to be around all of the amazing athletes from all over the world. It was a really fun and amazing experience.”

What about those grey USA jackets? Does Aly find those stylish?

“Yeah we liked them a lot…they’re really cool and they’re fun. And the shoes are really cool, too. They’re really bright green so it’s awesome.”

Aly’s been getting tons of love from supremely famous individuals on Twitter. What has been her favorite tweet?

“Um, I guess Taylor Swift because she’s my favorite singer so that was really cool that she tweeted at me.”
