Gay advocacy group kicks of tour in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The nation's largest gay rights advocacy group is kicking off a 17-day tour starting in Salt Lake City.

The Human Rights Campaign says the tour aims to bring attention to their cause seeking equal rights for same sex couples in Utah and around the country.

ABC 4 reports ( ) the group is concerned that not enough is being done in Utah and elsewhere to protect the gay and lesbian community from workplace discrimination.

The tour officially kicks off Friday in Salt Lake City with visits to 17 cities in 11 states and Washington, D.C.
