(NECN) - There have been a few great white shark sightings in the waters off of Cape Cod.

Jeffrey Richardson of Sandwich sent NECN a video and photos of what state wildlife officials say is a great white shark.

Richardson says he was about five miles off the coast of Barnstable in Cape Cod Bay when he saw the shark.

State officials also confirm another great white sighting, only this time in Wellfleet, on the ocean-side of Cape Cod, on Sunday morning.

They are the first sightings reported since a great white shark bit a man in the waters off Truro, Mass. at the end of July.

Chris Myers of Denver survived the bite on his leg.
