(NECN) - President Barack Obama made his first public outing since arriving on Martha's Vineyard, venturing out to a local bookstore.
     
A crowd gathered outside Bunch of Grapes Bookstore in Vineyard Haven as the president went inside Friday. It was the morning after his arrival with his family for a 10-day vacation.
     
The first family had stayed in Thursday night.
