(NECN: Kathryn Sotnik, Attleboro, Mass.) - Former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez was brought into the Attleboro District Courthouse for the last time Thursday.

His case is now moving to Fall River Superior Court, after Hernandez was indicted on murder and weapons charges in the killing of semi-pro football player, 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.

Following the indictment, Hernandez seemed laid back, even glancing at the crowd in court and mouthing "I love you" to someone.

Unlike past court appearances, Hernandez's girlfriend and mother of his child, Shayanna Jenkins, was not there.

But in a show of force, Lloyd's family was in the courthouse, sitting in the front row.

While Hernandez was only in the courtroom for a short period of time before heading back to jail, outside of court, Bristol County District Attorney Sam Sutter spoke about the indictment.

"This was a very grave case, my heart goes out to the victim's family," said Sutter. He also said justice will come at the end of the trial.

Lloyd's bullet-riddled body was found by a jogger back in June, left in an industrial park not too far from Hernandez's North Attleboro, Massachusetts home.

Prosecutors have alleged Hernandez plotted the killing after Lloyd spoke with people at a nightclub that Hernandez had problems with.

But Thursday the defense maintained Hernandez is innocent.

Defense attorney Michael Fee said, "there has been an incredible rush to judgement in this case that has been built on innuendo and misrepresentation of facts."

Also Thursday, Hernandez associate Ernest Wallace was indicted as an accessory after the fact to murder. Prosecutors allege Wallace was with Hernandez the night Lloyd died.

Hernandez's cousin, Tanya Singleton, was also indicted. She's been charged with criminal contempt for refusing to testify before a grand jury.

Another Hernandez associate, Carlos Ortiz, is also behind bars in relation to the murder case, but has not been indicted.

No court date has been set yet for Hernandez's arraignment in Fall River Superior Court.
