(NECN/AP) - The Patriots are regrouping following a dismal performance in Thursday night's 40-9 preseason loss to the Lions. Quarterback Tom Brady threw an interception in four of New England's first five possessions.

Brady said the game showed him they're not anywhere where they need to be.

Coach Bill Belichick said the Lions thoroughly handled his team.
