Money Matters: AAA reports Mass. gas price average rises to $3.65

(NECN) -  New Hampshire’s attorney general is seeking $2.4 million in cleanup costs from Shell Oil.
Joseph Foster filed a lawsuit against Shell, saying the company didn't disclose the existence of insurance policies to cover the costs of those spills.

AAA is reporting that the price of gas in Massachusetts has risen three cents in the past week to an average of $3.65.
That's six cents above the national average.

Consumer product company Jarden is shelling $1.75 billion for Massachusetts-based Yankee Candle.
Jarden is best known for brands like Crock-Pot and Coleman camping gear.
Yankee Candle's CEO says Jarden will be able to help with international sales and cross marketing.
About 1,600 jobs are expected to stay in western Massachusetts.
