(NECN) - John Carroll, a Boston University professor, discussed the best and worst ads in the Boston mayoral race, with election day being just 19 days away.

"An ad is going to be helpful, but it's not going to determine it, the way it can in other races," said Carroll.

Before the critiques begun, Carroll added that the quality of an ad is just one of the factors.

"In the general it will be more important, actually, than in the prelim, but you need organization."
