Kevorkian's Aide Floats Carbon Monoxide Execution Idea

The former assistant to late euthanasia activist Jack Kevorkian, known as "Dr. Death," says he may be the solution to America's execution problem. Neal Nicol is trying to convince death-penalty states to abandon lethal injections in favor of death via carbon monoxide. "Death comes within minutes. There are no twitches, movements, or signs of discomfort at all," Nicol said, saying victims "just go to sleep." His proposal comes in the wake of recent botched lethal injections, as states struggle to find new execution drugs.
