UPDATE (9:36 p.m.) - Middlesex County D.A.'s Office confirms the driver did stop at the scene after striking the bicyclist.

(NECN) - Authorities say a 13-year-old boy has died after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle in Hopkinton, Mass.

The Middlesex County D.A.'s Office says the teen was struck around 5 p.m. on Route 85 Wednesday.

He was taken tot he hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

It's still not clear what caused the deadly accident.

Authorities have not released the boy's name and we have no word on the vehicle or the driver involved.
