(NECN) - Ahead of the Massachusetts Senate Debate, a new poll is closer look at how the race is shaping up among voters.

The latest UMass-Lowell survey shows that Sen. Scott Brown (R) has a six-point lead over Elizabeth Warren - registered voters - with a margin of error of 5 percent.

The lead is smaller among likely voters, and within the same margin of error.

Surrogates from each campaign - Jesse Mermell and Elizabeth Mahoney - joined "The Morning Show" to discuss the upcoming event.

Mermell is a Brookline selectman and Elizabeth Warren supporter, while Mohoney is a Massachusetts Republican State Committee member and Scott Brown supporter.
