(NECN: Jackie Bruno) - This line outside an Apple Store is gigantic. It wraps all the way around the corner. People have been staked out for hours, just to get their hands on the latest and greatest iPhone.

It was a long awaited event for the many who spent the night outside just to get the new iPhone 5s or 5c.

Those who got here later, found themselves back on Newbury Street by Daisy Buchanan’s.

How does one person feel about their odds?

“A little down, but I think I can still get it. “

One person said, “I think it’s funny, people will come so early. just to get something they can get in a couple of weeks.”

But, these people want it now and there’s a few options. The 5s starts at $199, features a faster processor, a new camera, and a fingerprint scanner and it comes in three sleek colors. The gold is already sold out online.

So what’s the real reason people are standing in this line?
