(NECN: Katelyn Tivnan, Plymouth, Mass.) - Police confirm a 63-year-old mother and her 24-year-old daughter, both of Carver, Mass. died in a head-on car accident Sunday morning.

A 25-year-old man from Kingston was driving the other vehicle. He has been taken to South Shore Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The accident occurred on Federal Furnace Road. Police are still investigating the crash, but say it appears the mother strayed into the opposite lane. They say speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident.

Police have not released the identities of those involved in the accident.
