(NECN) - You've seen people doodle during class, lectures and even meetings, but one local woman is taking the art to a new level.

This is Jody Steel, an Emerson College senior whose illustrations, all done on her leg, are going viral.

Where did the idea come from?

She wouldn’t have room to draw, so when she looked down at her legs, drawing was the first thing that came to mind.

She has 200,000 hits on her website, 300,000 on Facebook and millions of hits on the articles and artwork as a whole.

Are you surprised by the reaction?

“I’m absolutely shocked,” she says. “It’s been amazing and overwhelming.”

How do you choose what you’re going to draw?

She says it’s just based on what she enjoys, like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.

She washes it off every night because she doesn’t want to get any on sheets.

Steel says she has gotten a couple thousand freelance offers, and she’s trying to sort through them to figure out what’s best.
