(NECN) - The candidates who finished out of the running in the Boston mayoral race are going to play crucial role in deciding the outcome of this contest.
John Barros, former executive director of the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative, joined Broadside for a closer look at his own campaign and the road ahead.
"We were counting on more turnout. The turnout was a little disappointing, and it had a big impact. You know, communities that typically voted voted and they voted for the candidates that typically win, right, and that's what the story is, and the communities that typically don't vote didn't come out," he says on why he didn't do better in the preliminary election.
