A series of fights at a Massachusetts high school this week resulted in the arrest of a number of students and the suspension of others.
According to the Brockton Enterprise, extra security was brought in to Brockton High School after at least 8 fights broke out between Thursday and Friday.
School officials told the Enterprise they believe the problems started on social media and escalated.
A total of 8 students were arrested and 16 were suspended over the course of the two days.
No one was seriously hurt in any of the incidents and no weapons were used, officials said.
necn visited the school on Saturday and talked to parents watching a Pop Warner football game. At least one parent admitted she was concerned about sending her son to the high school next year.
"Its very alarming, it puts me on the fence," said Naomi Greene, of Brockton. "Even though I live in the city of Brockton, if i want him to go there. Because i want him to go to school for an education, not to put his life in jeopardy because of different fights."

Other parents said they were not worried.
"My daughter is a good girl so I'm not really concerned about it," said parent Kim Kiser.
