(NECN: Jackie Bruno) – Power and diversity is being celebrated at the El Mundo Hispanic Heritage Breakfast on Friday morning.

Carlos Arredondo will be receiving a Heroic Act award at the breakfast.

This is among the many awards Arredondo has received since the Boston Marathon, when he saved marathon survivor Jeff Bauman’s life.

“It’s good to be in the community, doing good service and providing help to the rest of the community and participating,” said Arredondo.
