Lockdown lifted at Attleboro, Mass. middle school

3:20 p.m. UPDATE: According to Attleboro Police, the lockdown has been lifted. A man had come out of the woods and a group of students said they saw what they thought was the outline of a gun in his pocket. The school was put in lockdown and a search was initiated. The search efforts found nothing, and the school lockdown was lifted. No one was injured; no one was arrested. There is no further information at this time.

(NECN) - Attleboro, Mass. Police confirm they responded to Wamsutta Middle School for a report of one suspect on premises, possibly with a firearm.

The school is in lockdown.

Attleboro Police are on scene investigating.

Mass. State Police troopers from SP Foxboro, HHQ, CAT, K9 and Air Wing are assisting Attleboro PD with their ongoing search.

There is no other information at this time.
