(NECN: Greg Wayland) - Picture this: A beautiful white inn in Connecticut on a blue-gray day wiht a swarm of sailboats on the horizon, and a humble red wooden chair nestled incongruously among the inn's imperious high-backed lawn chairs.

Well, this would be the famous traveling red chair, journeying from inn to inn in New England this year from its home at Cape Cod's Wood's Hole Inn.

NECN sat down with the chair's original owner, Beth Colt, to talk to her about the chair's origins and how it started its journey.

For more information on the chair's journey, visit here.
