NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police say in New Haven say a 1-and-half-year-old boy has been injured in a shooting.

Police said Tramire Miller was in the arms of his aunt on the front porch of his multi-family house Wednesday afternoon when he was shot in the abdomen.

Police say the boy was rushed into surgery at a nearby hospital and was later transferred to a pediatric facility where he is reported to be out of danger.

Investigators say they are pursuing leads including the possibility that the gunshots were fired from a dark-colored sedan as it drove through the neighborhood.

Police say they don't know who was the target of the 2:30 p.m. shooting.
