(NECN: Nicole Jacobs, Conway, N.H.) - It's the hope they hold onto, perhaps the smile on this 15-year-old's face, that keeps them going.

The search for Abigail Hernandez is in its fifth day, and crews have still found nothing since her scent was tracked to a wooded area near her home Wednesday.

State, local and federal investigators have scoured more than 4,000 acres and have followed up leads in New England, and as far south as Texas.

Abigail's parents and other family members are said to be fully cooperative. Her mother even made a personal plea Saturday.

But it's the lack of information investigators say maintains the status of the case as a missing person.

That's why they're depending on the public - anyone who may have seen anything, no matter how small. It could be what allows this family to see Abigail's quiet smile again.
