(NECN/CSNNE) – The blast Sunday night by David Ortiz still has New England buzzing Monday morning. The game-tying grand slam in the eighth inning set the table for a walk-off single in the ninth.

Greg Dickerson, from Comcast SportsNet, joined us in studio to discuss a great Sunday of New England sports.

The Red Sox tied the series 1-1, so Boston will head to Detroit to face one of the best pitchers in baseball.

Dickerson says the Tigers’ pitching is only going to get better, if it can possibly get better, with Justin Verlander on the mound.

He says the Red Sox needed the one or two big hits to get their confidence brewing heading into Game 3.

What about the Patriots and Saints?

Almost everyone thought the game was over.

Dickerson says normally he has a problem with people leaving early in the game, but he was almost switching over to the Red Sox pre-game.

“This was classic Tom Brady all over again,” Dickerson says.
