(NECN) - The Norfolk County assistant district attorney has reportedly resigned, amid allegations of having frequent contact with the person accused of tampering evidence at a Massachusetts drug lab.
Norfolk Assistant DA George Papachristos has reportedly stepped down, according to The Boston Globe.
He was believed to be in frequent contact - by phone and email - with former Chemist Annie Dookhan.
Dookhan is accused of tampering drug lab evidence that has impacted thousands of criminal cases.
Suffolk County court continues analyzing cases that were impacted by the alleged evidence tampering.
Margaret McLean, Boston College Law Professor and the Former Essex County Assistant District Attorney, joined "The Morning Show" to discuss the case.
