(NECN) - The MSPCA is asking for help finding the person responsible for a case of animal cruelty.
According to the organization, a poodle-mix dog was found Tuesday at a Springfield, Mass. construction site.
They say she was wrapped in a plastic shopping bag and left for dead in a pit.
The dog was brought to Dakin Humane Society, where staffers named her "Buffy".
They say “Buffy” is anemic, but is slowly recovering.
The shelter hopes that she'll be available for adoption in the coming days.
